Maylen Calienes

Maylen Calienes (Writer/Director/Actor) stars as Jessica the Cuban bilingual. Maylen was born in Cuba and raised in Miami, Florida. Her career as an actress began in Miami performing in theater then touring and winning awards nationally. Soon she started writing and directing plays. Her passion for the performing arts led her to Los Angeles, CA where she began learning about filmmaking. Maylen continues her acting and now makes her own films. She has produced, written and directed several shorts “The Three Bilinguals” being her sixth. Her other film credits include: “The Dance of Death”, “Domino”, “Borderline”, and the award winners: “Havana-Gila” and “The Lady
and the Magic Wand”. “Havana-Gila is currently in negotiations and being developed into a feature film. Maylen has several projects in different stages of development and is also working on the making of “The Three Bilinguals” the feature film.

Johnny Ray Rodríguez

Johnny Ray Rodriguez (Producer/Actor) stars as Jacinto the Puerto Rican bi-bilingual. From sitcoms to soap operas, plays, musicals, CD recordings, standup comedy, dance and films, this native New Yorker from the Bronx is a major force in the entertainment
industry of Puerto Rico. As a performer in San Juan, Telemundo acted as his first big arena to showcase his many talents. Starring in TV shows like: “No Te Duermas”, (Don’t Fall Asleep) “Esto No Es Un Show”, (This Is Not A Show) “Minga Y Petraca” and “Vente Conmigo” (Come With Me) has placed Johnny Ray up close and personal with fans and critics alike.

With his award winning TV show, “Esto No Es Un Show”, his skills as a producer, director, writer and choreographer, were always put to the test as he churned out a new episode week after week. With this experience, he produced, directed, co-wrote and starred in the made for TV movie, “Vamo’ a Escascararnos” which aired on Telemundo and can now be seen on Youtube.

He now lives in Hollywood taking his acting to the next level. He’s appeared and done voice over work in commercials for both the Spanish and English markets. Worked on Showtime’s “Weeds”, “Jimmy Kimmel Live” and starred in Disney’s “Princess Protection Program”, which was filmed in Puerto Rico. Johnny currently travels back and forth from LA to Puerto Rico. As a celebrity in PR, he continues to make appearances there. Johnny Ray is also a certified personal fitness trainer in LA.

Ricardo Vargas

Ricardo Vargas (Actor) stars as Julio the Mexican bilingual. Ricardo was born in Los Angeles and is of Mexican descent. He has starred in several national commercials such as McDonalds, Subway and IBM. Ricardo has worked on several independent film projects and he is known for co starring in the SyFy drama The Resistance. He is a certified personal trainer and works at Barry’s Bootcamp.

Nancy Sinclair Nancy Sinclair is a former Radio City Music Hall rockette. She moved to LA and was selected to be one of the original Sean Martin Gold Diggers. TV credits include, Happy Endings, Philly, The Division, Seventh Heaven, and Murphy Brown to name a few.

Nancy performed the role of Peggy Sawyer in David Merrick’s Tony Award Musical, 42nd Street on Broadway. Headed the 1st nat’l tour and LA Company at the Shubert. There she received the Drama-Logue Critics Award for Best Performance.
Some regional credits include the title roles of Mame and Hello Dolly. Starring roles in South Pacific, 1940’s Radio Hour, Swinging on a Star receiving a NAACP Theatre Award / Best Performance nomination.

Robert Torti has guest starred on popular television series such as Quincy M.D., Family Ties and Little House on the Prairie: A New Beginning before his breakout role as Kyle Masters on the soap opera Generations. He has also been seen on television in regular
and recurring roles on The Young and the Restless, Day of our Lives, The Drew Carey Show and Vinnie & Bobby. His film work includes She!s The Man, Clueless and Freddy Fredrickson in Tom Hanks! That Thing You Do! He marked his Broadway debut as Greaseball in the musical Starlight Express, a role that garnered him a Tony nomination. He played Pharaoh in both the stage and film versions of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and Reefer Madness: The Movie Musical as Jesus a role he originated in the stage version. He received a Drama-louge award for his performance as Jesus in Godspell and an Ovation award for his performance as Jesus and Jack in

Jordana Capra

Jordana Capra first hit the boards at the tender age of three as a tap-dancing tulip to the Mexican Hat Dance in an off Broadway production in New York. Flash cuts: Through endless school productions, fade into: College where she earned her degree in theater at the University of Minnesota.

Jump cut to the present: Jordana has been a union member for over 25 years in which time she has shot over 200 commercials, and many voice overs. She has worked with such industry icons as Brad Pitt and Shaquille O'Neal. Her very first film work was in those cult classics, “Amazon Women On The Moon” (yes, she's an Amazon Woman), followed by “The Visitants” (yes, she’s a Visitant). Some of her other film work includes “Hired To Kill” with José Ferrer & Oliver Reed, and “Watch It!” with Peter Gallagher.

A few of her TV appearances include recurring roles on “Sonny Spoon” with Mario Van Peebles, the original “Beverly Hills 90210” and “Night Stand” as the angry lesbian psychologist. Jordana has guest starred on “ER”, "Strong Medicine", "Saved By The Bell", "Murder One", “Desperate Housewives”, 2 years on "Bold and the Beautiful", and “House, M.D.” .

Angela Weech (Actress) is a native of Minnesota who was lured by Los Angeles’ artistic energy and painless weather. In addition to The Three Bilinguals, she has acted recently in the independent film Two de Force, and on stage in The Marriage Memoirs at the L.A. Comedy Fest. In her spare time, she enjoys tap dancing and aggravating the neighbors with her drum set.

Adrian Quiñones (Actor) is a true believer in the arts and the beauty of personal expression. Adrian comes from Houston, Texas with a degree from Abilene Christian College and an Art focus from Oxford, London England. Experienced in theater, television and film, Adrian lives in Hollywood as a working actor and is a student at the Stan Kirsch Studios. David Valdez (Actor) was born and raised in East Los Angeles, is a graduate of Yale university and has a masters degree in acting from ACT in San Francisco. He is a jack of all trades as a writer, producer, director and performer. He does stand-up comedy. In addition to re-tooling his one-man show, he hosts his own late-night style talk show entitled, “Live Taping with David Valdez”. The show is taped at the Jon Luvitz Comedy Club at Universal Studios’ City Walk. He has also worked with Carlos Mencia.

Valenzia Algarin (Actress) is a Latina originally from Boston. Her love for acting began on stage and slowly transitioned to the film industry. Before arriving to Los Angeles, Algarin hosted and acted in plays and independent films in and around the Boston area. She is currently working on her music/spoken word artistry in collaboration with the highly acclaimed singer/songwriter/producer Margo Thunder (9.9 Lady Soul).
Her primary goal is to gain the respect of both her peers and her audience as they watch her transition into a leading lady. Craig Darr Craig Darr (Casting Director) - From the age of five or six, Craig knew he wanted to entertain people, he took acting, dance and voice classes, in high school Craig found his voice in plays, musicals, show choir, madrigal, and drama club. He had his first paid job with Circa ’21 Speakeasy’s murder mystery dinner’s and soon after, Craig decided pursuing the dream was in order.

After moving to LA, Craig soon realized Hollywood can be cutthroat and when those that don’t follow their dreams discourage others, it took a toll and he gave up the dream of being an actor. Craig left L.A. and after time away, Craig had a plan. He came back to L.A. to attend Los Angeles Film School, majoring in Directing, minoring in Cinematography and also found he had a passion for casting.

Armed with a hands on education Craig formed his own Casting Company, Circle of Light Casting and his own Production Company, Circle of Light Productions. Starting out Craig worked on feature films as a PA, cast short films and a indie feature and most recently the short film The Three Bilinguals. Up next for Craig are a few of his own projects.
